Russell Bostock is the driving force behind Pulse Barbell Club, a business he has successfully operated since 2017. Originally launched as Pulse Body Fitness, the club has grown under Russ's leadership, reflecting his extensive background and expertise in the fitness industry.
Hailing from Northport, NY, Russ discovered his passion for weightlifting as a sophomore in high school. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree and holds certifications from USAPL CC and CISSN, blending theoretical knowledge with practical experience as a coach and business owner.
With over 11 years of coaching experience, Russ has made his mark on the powerlifting stage. He has coached at prestigious events, including the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) World Championships in Japan and Finland, U.S. National Championships, and various regional competitions. Among his many achievements, Russ has guided weight-loss transformations exceeding 100 pounds and coached medal-winning athletes at the World, National, State, and Regional levels. Notably, he coaches the New York state record holder in the women’s raw division for combined total and bench press single lift.
In addition to his fitness expertise, Russ has three years of experience in physical therapy, working in both the VA Hospital and Huntington Hospital's emergency department.
Russ resides in East Northport, NY, with his wife and co-owner, Charlotte, and their two beloved cats, Pepper and Cali.
